The service
MailForensis analyzes emails you forward and returns threat reports. The service is provided for personal and small-team use. MailForensis is owned and operated by Vylo Security LLC.
Related services
TextForensis, a related service for analyzing text-message scams (smishing), operates under these same Terms and is owned and operated by Vylo Security LLC.
Text messages sent to TextForensis are transmitted over RCS where supported, with SMS as a fallback. Messages are limited to 160 characters each. SMS/RCS scans use a separate monthly allowance from email scans — 2 scans per month on the Free plan and 10 per month on Pro. Standard message and data rates may apply.
TextForensis messaging terms

How you opt in: You opt in by adding your mobile number in your MailForensis dashboard and confirming your consent there. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Messages you will receive: After you opt in you will receive an opt-in confirmation message. When you text us a message, you will receive an automated analysis with a safety verdict (for example, safe, suspicious, or dangerous) and your remaining scan count. We may also send occasional service or support messages.
Message frequency: Frequency varies based on your usage, up to your plan's monthly allowance (currently 2 scans per month on the Free plan and 10 per month on Pro).
Cost: Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for the messages themselves; your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply.
Opt out: Reply STOP at any time to cancel. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages. Reply START to resubscribe.

Availability: Available for US mobile numbers only. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Threat reports
Threat reports generated by the Service are produced by automated analysis systems. The following limitations apply:
- Informational only — Threat reports are provided for informational purposes and do not constitute professional cybersecurity, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for any final decision you make regarding an email or its contents.
- No guarantee of accuracy — Threat detection is probabilistic. Our systems may not identify every malicious email, and may on occasion flag a legitimate email. Always use your own judgment.
- No human review — Reports are produced entirely by our automated systems; no human reviews your reports.
- Reporting data — The original content of the email you forward is not retained. Only the report summary is kept, and it is automatically deleted within 14 days.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: send spam or abuse the forwarding service, attack or disrupt the service, reverse engineer it, attempt to access accounts or mailboxes you don't own, or submit illegal content.
Your forwarding address
Emails are matched to your account by the address you forward them from. Use an address you control, and keep in mind that scanning requires sending the message to our servers for analysis.
Quota, plans & billing
The free plan includes 5 scans per month. Paid plans provide a higher monthly scan allowance. Unused scans don't roll over, and rate limits may apply. Plans and pricing may change over time; changes will be reflected on our pricing page.
Payments for paid plans are processed by a third-party payment provider. By subscribing, you agree to the provider's terms and authorize the payment method you provide. Recurring subscription fees are charged in advance each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account, and access continues until the end of the paid period.
Availability
The service may be updated, suspended, or discontinued at any time. We'll try to give notice where reasonable, but the service is provided without any guarantee of continuous availability.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MailForensis is not liable for any damages arising from reliance on reports, service interruption, or data loss. Reports are informational and should never be your only line of defense.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time, which removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.
